El paisajismo es la práctica de poner capas de diferentes sustratos, materiales, plantas, árboles y piedras para conseguir un efecto o imagen pintoresca de algún lugar; al igual que otras formas de arte como la pintura o el dibujo, esta práctica a veces se hace con la intención de imitar otros lugares y a veces con la intención de abrir un universo nuevo.
Las diferentes prácticas de los artistas de Escape de Tierra involucran sobreponer, quitar, revolver y editar capas de significado a la idea de paisaje desbordando y escapando de la representación tradicional.
La mayoría de estos procesos tienen como punto de partida nuestro paisaje más cotidiano, aquel que vemos a través de las ventanas de nuestras pantallas y su posterior materialización.
Landscaping is the practice of placing layers from different substrates, materials, plants, trees and stones in order to acquire an effect or picturesque image of some place; like other forms of art such as painting or drawing, this practice is often done with the intention of mimicking different spaces and sometimes with the intention of opening a new universe.
The different works present in this exhibition involve the acts of overlapping, substracting, mixing, and editing layers of meaning from the idea of landscape, overflowing and escaping traditional representations.
Most of these processes have as a starting point our daily landscape, the one we see through the windows of our screens and their latter materialization.
